Built by two founders who needed it.
Momomoon was engineered for ourselves first.
We’re software engineers — Wenwen at Amazon, Mahmud at Meta. Two co-founders shipping production code by day at companies that don’t have a slow gear, and shipping Momomoon in the hours after.
We tracked everything. Sleep, heart rate, recovery scores, mood logs. We had every dashboard. None of it caught us in the moment we actually needed catching. By the time the data told us we were burning out, we’d already been burning out for weeks.
So we started building the thing we needed. A system that intervenes, not a system that reports. That detects rising stress before it compounds. That earns a daily relationship instead of asking for a daily check-in.
The beta is live for Founding Members. Momo, the Emotional Timeline, and the Lenses are rolling out now — the Momomoon Band follows. We test everything on ourselves first, because we are the audience.
Mahmud Ahmed
Co-founder · Brand & Engineering
Software Engineer @ Meta
Mahmud is a software engineer at Meta, leading brand and engineering at Momomoon. His instinct is 0-to-1 — taking a thesis from nothing to a product people use. He’s spent years building in mental health; Momomoon is the one that landed. The day job is Meta. The real work is Momomoon, every night and weekend it takes.
Serial entrepreneur. Has built and shipped ventures before Momomoon, and treats every closed door as paid tuition. Bets big by default, aims at the largest version of every problem, and operates across engineering, brand, and product — rare in a founder, rarer in one who ships in all three. Born in countryside Bangladesh, raised in Queens. Reads One Piece — fifteen years and counting. Believes willpower outscales talent. What he sets his mind to, he ships. The only ceiling is hours in a day.
Wenwen Li
Co-founder · Engineering & Community
Software Engineer @ Amazon
Wenwen is a software engineer at Amazon, leading engineering and community at Momomoon. Her depth is the systems layer — biometric pipelines, HRV signal processing, real-time inference on a watch. Years shipping infrastructure at Amazon, now applying the same rigor to a system that reads nervous systems in real time. The day job is Amazon. The real work is Momomoon.
Wenwen was born in Harbin in northern China and came to Canada for university. A hackathon regular who solves problems the way other people do crosswords — and a try-everything polymath who picks things up fast and goes deep on what matters. Two coffees a day; gym three days a week to calm down. Recently fell hard for Mexican food — tacos, tripa, pico de gallo. Comes home to Nian Nian, her Bernese Mountain Dog: Wenwen handles the bills, Nian Nian handles the rest. Wears every release on her own wrist before it ships.
